MN Fashion Week

Following New York Fashion Week, the fashion locals here commence MN Fashion Week. I did attend a few events, one being Envision Artopia. Although I will forever remain loyal and partial to Vision Models, I was invited to be a plus one for a front row seat to this event and I thought it'd be fun to see what local designers have to offer this season. In addition, it's always interesting for me to see the competition from another agency and event production in town. I think they could have done without the Rocco Altobelli (my former employer from way back in the day!) hair styling in the beginning of the show - the on-stage hairstyling was atrocious and should be left to a hair show. I was a fan of Russell Bourriene, the only male designer designing men's fashion that evening. Former Project Runway contestant and MN native Christopher Straub showed a few pieces of his line and it was a bit too boring for my taste. In any case, I had a fun time and ran into some familiar faces. I have yet to see a fashion production in this town that's on par with New York though...
