East Coast Vacation Part III: Pennsylvania

Once again opting for the bus versus the train to save some money, I hopped on the Chinatown bus from DC to downtown Philadelphia a few days before Thanksgiving. I hadn't visited my family here since late Spring of 2009, so I was looking forward to seeing how big my nephews had gotten and seeing my parents. My brother-in-law Mike and my nephew Devynn picked me up that afternoon and we had lunch at one of their favorite Chinatown eateries. The week there was spent watching movies, eating some wonderful home cooked meals by my mother and of course getting as many hugs from my little nephew Deinn who is in Kindergarten this year. It was so nice to spend Thanksgiving with part of my family (Linda and her family spent it at their home in MO), as it's been a really long time since I've done that. The weather was definitely getting cold, but nowhere near as chilly as MN.

I spent an entire week there and got a lot of much needed rest from my previous time in NY and DC. It was nice to just sit and relax with my family and play pretend time with my nephew. Here are some photos from my time there:

Me at Ridley Creek State Park about 30 minutes away from my sister's house.
My nephew Devynn looking at the creek near the Sycamore Mills area.
I take my nephew's to the Insectarium while their mom is at her Wushu class. Here's Deinn pointing at some really large grasshoppers.
Me and my cutie pie nephew Deinn. I miss him already.
