The Mile-High City

This past weekend I took a quick weekend getaway to visit my good friend Andre in Denver, CO. I hadn't seen him since 2007 and he's since bought an adorable house in Aurora with his girlfriend Linda. The weather was beautiful and Denver completely exceeded all my expectations. I found Colfax Avenue to be really interesting and it was easy to picture how that street was back in it's heyday -- it's lined with so many vintage motels, bars, and restaurants. We took a day trip into the mountains to visit some old gold rush towns and even stopped at a very old cemetery.
