Sugar & Gold

I headed out to the the Triple Rock Social Club last night to see one of my favorite local bands Estate open up for Yip Deceiver (Athens, GA) and Sugar & Gold (SF/LA). I was truly disappointed in the Twin Cities when only 20 people showed up to see them play. Unfortunately, their show was terribly overshadowed by the two sold-out performances by Girl Talk at First Avenue (lame!). Whatever -- everyone who didn't show up missed out on some AWESOME bands! Yip Deceiver is made up of some members that play with Of Montreal and after meeting the lead singer of Sugar & Gold, we discovered we were formerly neighbors in SF! How strange -- he literally lived only a few houses down from me. Small world isn't it?

I'm super into this kind of music right now, so I got to dance my winter blues away in 4 inch heels! Ouchy.
