Things I love: vintage botany + educational posters

One of the things I look for when I'm at a thrift/antique store or flea market are vintage posters of botany, anatomy, zoology, seashells or any old educational posters. The illustrations are really beautiful and they're a great addition to almost any decor in a living room, bedroom, office or bathroom. Here are a few great examples:
These are my all-time favorite and can be purchased at my favorite store in SoHo in NY: Evolution (which I've mentioned quite a few times here in my blog). They obtained a series of Scientific German Educational Charts that were originally illustrated in the 50's and 60's and they continue to be produced by the same printing company. They've been internationally recognized for producing scientifically accurate educational charts since 1929. Although they're a bit pricey ($98/each), I think they're just gorgeous and well worth the price tag for something so functional and beautiful.

Hey! It's my bedding from Dwell coupled with a great botanical poster!
