Octopus necklace, seaweed dress and fish mask

This morning, while sipping my daytime Theraflu (yep, yours truly has succumb to the cold that's been chasing me) and catching up on my blogosphere reading, I came upon this interesting new photo exhibit that's taking place at Berlin's Museum of Communication. This exhibit is a collaboration between Helge Kirchberger, a German photographer and Austrain chef Roland Trettl, whose restaurant Ikarus holds a Michelin star for his innovative cuisine.

The show opened on Oct. 29th and features photographs of models wearing clothing made entirely from foodstuffs. There are skirts made out of seaweed, shawls made out of caul fat, necklaces made out of quail eggs and of course the awesome octopus necklace. I love stuff like this and if you're in Berlin before January 29th, I would highly recommend taking this exhibit in. If you're like me and probably not going to be in Germany during the dead of winter, you can order the book HERE. Scroll down for the video of the behind-the-scenes look at the photoshoots.
