Ok...so maybe that's a tad pretentious to say. It's because I'm a fan of Julian Casablancas from the Strokes, whom I saw perform with an amazing back-up band last Thursday. I love his voice and his new record - kudos to him for being sober, trying out some new sounds and wearing tight red velvet pants w/ a feather earring. Awesome.Not to mention this was the first show I've been to in a long time (since I believe seeing Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros) where the entire crowd wasn't just staring up like zombies at an artist. They were actually dancing and getting rowdy to the point where Julian had to remind people that were getting annoyed by it that indeed, this was a ROCK AND ROLL show!
