I came across this blog by accident while looking for more information surrounding the untimely and unfortunate death of model Daul Kim -- one of my favorite Asian models to come on the scene not so long ago. RIP Daul - you were so beautiful and too young!

I'm posting this because I modeled from the ages of 14-21 and when I started my "career", there were not many Asian models that I could look up to for inspiration on the pages of popular fashion magazines. Not only were there a lack of Asian models, but the same could be said for Asian actresses. I wish I could say things have changed in the business, but here in the States...it's been a slow incline. Although more are being featured, using models of color to grace any major ad campaigns or magazine covers is still pretty sparse.

So, big applause from my end for this BLOG as they do a great job of updating posts when any models of Asian descent grace the pages of fashion editorials or campaigns.
