This is the first book I'm reading this year, it's been on my "to-read" list for some time now.I know many of you have heard of or perhaps have even read this book by now -- it's by no means a new release. I read Malcolm's other book, "The Tipping Point" which I find myself often reciting during dinner conversations and even more so feeling a part of the movement towards a new tipping point of our society (go Obama!).
I'm only 2 chapters into it and already I feel enlightened. It's hard not to when we've all felt our gut kick in when forced to make decisions in life.
I'll let Malcolm give you a quick and better idea of what his book is all about:
"It's a book about rapid cognition, about the kind of thinking that happens in a blink of an eye. When you meet someone for the first time, or walk into a house you are thinking of buying, or read the first few sentences of a book, your mind takes about two seconds to jump to a series of conclusions. Well, "Blink" is a book about those two seconds, because I think those instant conclusions that we reach are really powerful and really important and, occasionally, really good."
I encourage you to read either one of his books -- all very good food for thought.
