Winter in MN

I've been back in MN for a total of 12 days now and it's been quite a re-acclimation process. I've accepted that I'm just going to be cold for awhile. I do admit I missed the snow - it's the below zero temps and wind chill that's not so fun to deal with. I'm looking forward to the St. Paul Winter Carnival this year - I've never seen the ice and snow sculptures and once again I am looking forward to the treasure hunt for the medallion! Maybe I'll get crazy and enter the ice fishing contest in White Bear Lake! I'm looking forward to fighting cabin fever with ice skating, treasure hunting, making snow angels, eating MN Wild Rice Soup, bowling, hot dish happy hours, playing Big Buck Hunter, drinking Maker's, sipping hot chocolate and making snow forts.

A fresh snowfall makes for a faulty walk down the back steps.

A huge snowman I drove past in Lake Elmo, he had potatoes for eyes - that's how big he was!

Frost fronds on the inside of my kitchen window.

A snow family.

Even the trees are cold!

Icicles.

A snow crowe.
