More magical little worlds...

Okay okay...I'm going a bit bananas with my love for tiny worlds encased in glass. I promise this will be the last of them for awhile. I can't help it! I love curiosities and having an entire shelf full of them is going to be a life filled with collecting them.

I'm not the first (nor will I be the last) to blog about these Ecospheres. I wanted to gift one last holiday season, but I feared that once it arrived to me...I would just keep if for myself. Imagine it: a perfect world right on your desk/shelf.

The Original EcoSphere is the world's first totally enclosed ecosystem - a complete, self-contained and self-sustaining miniature world encased in glass. They demonstrate in a most simplistic way the interdependence of animal and plant life with Earth's most precious element - water. Ecospheres have been called science projects, the world's lowest maintenance pets or closed aquariums. They are in fact developments of space age technology initiated by NASA.
